At Cold Factor, we set out to improve the PVA cooling towel technology by working with technical cooling experts. Some brands like to add a busy pattern onto one side of the towel because it hides imperfections in the product and allows them to use less of the cooling PVA material.

When you add a pattern to the towel, it compresses the amount of cooling material that is available to absorb water and in turn, reduces the cooling duration. The amount of water held in an evaporative product has a direct correlation to how long it stays cool.
